The working principle of a biogas generator set ‌ mainly involves the purification, combustion and energy conversion of biogas, as well as the production

Biogas purification ‌ : Before entering the generator set, biogas usually undergoes purification treatment to remove impurities and moisture from it. 

Purification methods include dry and wet types. Dry purification mainly utilizes activated carbon adsorption or oxidants for treatment, while wet 

purification removes impurities through water washing or chemical absorption methods ‌.


Combustion and energy conversion ‌ : Purified biogas is sent into the combustion chamber, where it mixes with air and burns, generating 

high-temperature and high-pressure combustion gas. During this process, combustible gases such as methane in biogas release the chemical energy 

they contain. The thermal energy generated by combustion drives the piston to move through the cylinder of the gas engine, which in turn drives the 

crankshaft to rotate, converting thermal energy into mechanical energy. Subsequently, the mechanical energy generated by the rotation of the 

crankshaft is converted into electrical energy through a generator, which is supplied to the external power grid or other power demands ‌.


The production and recycling of electrical energy ‌ : after the generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy, it can be output to the 

external power grid or used for other power demands. In addition, the heat in the cooling water and exhaust gas discharged from the biogas generator 

set is recovered through a heat recovery device and used as the heating source for the biogas generator, which improves the energy utilization efficiency ‌.


The advantage of biogas generator sets lies in their environmental friendliness, as they utilize the renewable resource biogas, reducing the use of 

fossil fuels. At the same time, they recover waste heat through heat recovery devices, thereby enhancing energy utilization efficiency. This power
